Training - Advanced Analysis of Financial Statements and Business Performance

Analisando os Números

Introduction:

The world economy has gone through great transformations. These changes have been generated by crises as well as by the evolution of transactions and the means in which they are operated. New technologies transform markets, generate new demands and eliminate others. There are practically no more market borders and the life cycle of products and companies is getting shorter.
Given this market dynamics, a company's profit or loss has become a daily issue for a public that is normally considered to be laypeople, or that is not prepared to analyze this information within a decision-making context.
For decades, knowing the financial and equity situation of companies through accounting statements was only for the Accountant and the Owner of the company, that is, if the company had reliable Financial Statements.
Increasingly, organizational structure conditions, managerial capacity, technology levels will make a difference to political and economic conditions, competition, among others. The information contained in a company's financial statements serves as a channel to obtain the data necessary to evaluate the company and thus make a decision.
All executives must have a deep understanding of how to analyze a company's financial statements, seeking to understand how the decisions taken by them impacted the results achieved.
Accounting itself has evolved in recent years. International standards were adopted, the Statement of Origins and Applications of Resources was replaced by the Statement of Cash Flow, among other changes.
The level of tax evasion by companies has fallen year after year, causing the Financial Statements to reflect their real economic and financial condition.
Therefore, each and every executive must deeply understand how to analyze a company's Financial Statements so that they can make decisions that ensure the organization's survival and prosperity.
